HOW TO PAY REAL ESTATE PROPERTY TAXES.

City of Rhinelander DOES NOT collect real estate property taxes after January 31st. 
Second installment or Delinquent* tax payments CAN be made through Oneida County's Point and Pay.

Property tax bills are mailed in mid December and are due Jan 31st to the City of Rhinelander. 
City of Rhinelander only collects 1st installment or full payment of property taxes before their due date of Jan 31st.   

How to pay

Rhinelander does accept Credit Card payments for taxes due before Jan 31st.  Make Credit Card Payments here. Credit card payments are only available Dec 1-Jan 31 of each tax year.   
Convenience fees: Checking/Savings - $1.10 fee.
Credit/Debit Card - 2.9% fee + additional $.50 for payments less than $100.

Cash or Check(payable to the City of Rhinelander) payments can be mailed or walked into the Rhinelander City Clerk's Office at 135 S Stevens St Rhinelander WI 54501.  If a receipt is desired include a self addressed stamped envelope with the property tax payment.  

City of Rhinelander DOES NOT collect property taxes after January 31st. 

After Jan 31st interest and penalty will be assessed to unpaid Property Taxes.  Payment can only be made to Oneida County.  Checks, payable to Oneida County Treasurer, can be mailed to 1 S Oneida Ave Rhinelander WI 54501.

2nd installment or Delinquent* tax payments CAN be made through Oneida County's Point and Pay. The link will redirect you to the Ascent Records page where you will need to look up your parcel.

Payments will be posted after the payment is received by the County.  This will take approximately 3 business days.

*Delinquent Taxes that are in foreclosure are not able to use the Point and Pay system for payment. Certified funds are the only acceptable payment for parcels in foreclosure.

Online property tax payments cannot be made to Oneida County from Mid-November to the beginning of February.  Oneida County online payments will be available around the first week of February for 2nd installment or delinquent taxes.

Point and Pay will charge credit card payments an additional 2.39% on payment amount and eCheck payments an additional $1.50 up to $10,000 and $10 charge for eCheck payments over $10,000.

Payment withdrawn from Oneida County by Point and Pay for unpaid funds will result in tax payment being deleted and a $20 returned
payment charge will be issued.
