Republic Services of Northern Wisconsin 715-477-0077 is contracted by the City of Rhinelander to complete waste and recycling collection services for residential dwelling units in the City zoned R-1, R-2 and R-3.  This service is paid through the residential property's tax bill.  Republic Services will not pick up bulk items.  A list of garbage haulers who may be willing to come pick larger items can be found here.

Residents living in R-1,  R-2 and R-3 zoned residential areas may receive waste and recycling pick-up.   To request pick-up call the City Clerk's office at 715-365-8600 or email clerk@rhinelanderwi.us
 
The use of one regular sized waste receptacle and one regular sized recycling receptacle per legal residence is paid for through property tax bills.

To request larger bins you must contact Republic Services directly at 715-477-0077 and you will be directly billed for the larger bin charges.  

Waste is collected on a weekly schedule, and recyclables are collected on a biweekly schedule. Find your service area and printable schedule in the documents below.  Pick-up routes run on all holidays except Christmas Day. All routes will be picked up a day later than Christmas Day if it falls on a weekday.

The City of Rhinelander is located within Oneida County. Oneida County has it's own landfill that accepts bulk and hazardous items. More information can be found at Oneida County Solid Waste.
